October 2008 Survey: The National Center for
Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery at Rochester Institute of Technology, and
the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) have joined forces to
conduct a brief online survey of Remanufacturers. The goal of the survey is to
gather specific information for upcoming feature articles in the APRA Global
Connection newspaper, APRA e-Connection online newsletter, and presentations
at the 2008 International Big R Show. The questions relate to business
competiveness, recent and future changes in the market sector, and the
environmental benefits of remanufacturing. The survey should be completed in no
more than 8 minutes and can be found at

APRA Posts YouTube Video
The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) has posted their
“Rethink – Rebuild” video to YouTube. The video highlights the environmental
contributions of remanufacturing as well as the cost savings for consumers.
Several remanufacturing plants and a variety of remanufactured products appear
in the video. APRA President Bill Gager stated, “While the video was produced
over 10 years ago to educate government officials and legislators about the
benefits of remanufacturing, the material is still very useful in helping
consumers understand what our great remanufacturing industry is all about.”
